Yeti | “Baggage Handlers”

Multi day shoot | PRODUCTION & Post

Agency: Yeti

Directors: Morgan & Nick

Production & Post: CamLock

CamLock Films was thrilled to collaborate with Yeti on several projects. They came to us initially for just a few industrial spots - wanting to show off their new Austin office and some store locations. We filmed at the Lantana office and showed off both buildings with a tour guide. They also initially wanted us to film the Austin stores - both the Domain & the South Congress locations. We had so much fun with these - just rolling around the stores with a camera on a dolly and checking out all of the cool merch! Shortly after, they sent us to both Houston and Scottsdale to show off those couple of locations in similar fashion.

Shortly following the production of these industrials, Yeti approached us again for a very special project - their DEBUT to TikTok. They had this fun idea that we could imagine TikTok as a picnic and we could *literally* drop in with a Yeti cooler. We had our amazing fabricator build a chute where we could pull a string and the Yeti cooler would drop straight down on a picnic table. Although we had the cooler dropping from above frame, almost 15’ high, we didn’t think that would be enough, so we had our fabricator build a breakaway table that would collapse when the weight of the cooler hit it. Pretty neat, right?

Shortly after this production, Yeti came back to us with yet another really fun idea for a project, and we couldn’t be more excited. They were coming out with a new line of luggage and wanted to highlight the durability of the product. They had several ideas, but we ultimately decided to move forward with “Baggage Handlers,” which was a play one what happens to your bag once it gets handed off to baggage handlers at the airport. We had a very tight budget on this one, so shooting at the airport was out of the cards. We had to come up with some creative ways to play a boxing gym for an airport using a little bit of VFX magic, sound effects, and some set design for the final shot. We thought it sold pretty well and it is one of the most popular videos on our website! The 16:9 is at the top of the page, but we also delivered a 1:1. Check it out below!
